My roomy just joined our ranks

Well, about two weeks ago my room mate Sean bought a fairly solid '74 Blazer from a guy on craigslist.com

I wasn't sure about the truck at first, but It's already grown on me in just a short time.

It's a sort of mustard yellow with a black top and a cage, front bucket seat, rear bench from a suburban, and some custom stereo work.

The truck has some rust in te rear gate and front inner and outer fender on the passenger side, but nothing that can't easily be fixed. Yes, it's REALLY rough around the edges, but it's a rig, and slowly but surely we're going to turn it into one hell of a best.

Right now she's sitting pretty with about 5-6" of lift, 35" tires, polished wheels, and the best part, a freshly built 396 big block. It's a good, solid truck to start with. Over the next couple months we'll be working on it. We just placed an $1100 order with LMC and purchased new gauges from Autometer.

The big projects with it right now is a 4x2 conversion for the transfer case, the turn signal wiring, and the steering. Later I'll use the truck for stereo builds and how-to's.

I should have pics in a day or so, but I can't find my freakin' camera. I just wanted you guys to know that our ranks have grown by one.

Kind of a unique combo...a 73-87 and a 396. Awesome motor though.

Re: My roomy just joined our ranks

It really is an addiction. Especially the full convertible ones. I've had 5 full top blazers, and 10 with the half top. I wonder if there is a 12 step program, other than marriage.
