1 ton brake and fuel lines

I've got a couple questions for you guys. My buddy is restoring an '87 K30 big block automatic. It is also equipped with hydroboost brakes. In looking through all the catalogs all that's listed are brake lines and fuel lines for 1/2 and 3/4 ton trucks. I know the one ton frame is different but are the lines? And does anyone know where to get them.

I should also mention he is keeping the truck's original TBI fuel system.

Thanks

Re: 1 ton brake and fuel lines

There were no C-K trucks in 1987. Tell him to look for parts for a V30 series four wheel drive truck. The 2 wheel drives square bodies were R series after 1986. He could tell them he has a 1986 K30 if that helps the parts guy.

Dooley, it's not the '87 part that's the problem, it's the 1 ton part. There are NO listings for 1 ton brake or fuel lines in LMC, Classic Industries, or Classic Parts catalogs.

Re: 1 ton brake and fuel lines

If you are talking about the actual lines. A hydroboost 3/4T will be the same as a 1T, the only differences are these were availible in short beds. Everything else should be the same.

Re: 1 ton brake and fuel lines

And in the rear you probably have a brake proportioning valve off of the axle so your rear brake lines should be 1/4" not 5/16" and it will be plumbed a little different... but like Capt said above.. same truck as the 86 with hydroboost.
