it is absolutely a very bad idea to drive with your bags defalted. If your suspension bottoms out on the bag and your bags don't have an internal bumpstop ( some do, most don't) driving with them bottomed out drastically reduces the bags life. The cool thing with a lot of the synthetic bumpstops is they can be progressive to start soft and then get firmer as they compress providing a less jarring end of travel experience.

My bags have internal bumpstop... I dont plan on ever running em without air. I almost bought some bumpstops and realized these had internals. That works for me....

The guy I bought the truck from had the compressor but wanted it. So I let him keep it and he converted the lines to an air chuck ( which I suppose makes them air springs instead of air bags?) So no, at the time I didn't have a compressor. So my dumb @$$ decided that it was ok to drive like it was. He did a shady job on the bag setup so I changed it since. Still a dumb move on my part
