how low does my truck look

I realy don't under stand,I lowerd my truck back in march and I orderd djm 3inch drop spindles 2inch djm drop coils and a beltec flip kit from summit but the front only looks like, its only been lowerd 3 1/2 to 4 inchs so i'm thinking the springs are heavy duty srings and the stance is really buging me, so how much lower would have to go to have the top of the rim to wheel well be the same front and back.

Re: how low does my truck look

well, heres the thing. the front and rear wheel well opening are different heights. if you want them to be at the same height your going to have a slight rake.

Re: how low does my truck look

check your clearances and be aware of your topography and if you can go lower, start with half a coil on the front,

Re: how low does my truck look

mine is a 4/6 and it sits like that the back tires tuck but the front there is about a 1 inch gap. but if you measure or stand back and look the front is actually lower, but my tires are smaller on the front than the back.

Re: how low does my truck look

mines the same way with 4.5" drop in the front and a rear flip kit.
i hate it, the front looks so much higher.

but...

if you step back 20+ feet, it looks perfect

Re: how low does my truck look

Start cutting the coils. 1/2 coil = approximately 1 inch of drop.

Re: how low does my truck look

I'm guessing in the neighborhood of 2 1/2". Measure the vertical distance between the rim and the fender lip on the front and rear for a more accurate calculation. You'll 'bably end up with at least a 2" rake. It may be challenging to accomplish this by cutting enough coils off of a drop coil without causing alignment, clearance and ride issues. It may be Dropmember time.

Sumin' like this:

Question Re: how low does my truck look

Yea ,I see what you mean . according to your specs you should be 5 in. in the front & approx 6 in the rear - Iagree the rear looks perfect (in my old fart opionion) My 84 is 5.5 in in front (2.5 spindles & 3 in drop coils from Eibach)Sorry dont have pic. but mine tucks very well , & yours should to// theres only 1/2 in difference in yours & mine . Are The coils seated into the pockets well -- Im sure they are , but your truck should be lower than that in front with a 5 in drop. ????

Re: how low does my truck look

It looks like a 4/6 drop from the pics. What size are your F/R tires? Mine has 3" spindles + 1-coil cut & a flip-kit + shackles . .....

My tires are a little taller 215-75-15's. Check these measurements against your truck.

Re: how low does my truck look

flamingbig10,... another coil removed, is going to drop it 2 inches more. Correct alignment will not be easy,... if at all possible.
