Early Classics crossmembers

i was thinking about ordering one mainley for the holes for the exhaust and if i ever decide to drop my truck lower i wouldent have to worry about my drive shaft hitting. well i called them and they said it will only work if i have a 5 inch or more drop and said that it wouldent fit because they shaved the bottom of it or something.im glad they told me but i still dont see why it wouldent work with a 4 inch drop?

Re: Early Classics crossmembers

It could be due to the angle of the driveshaft, but this is just a guess. I think the hoop is a little larger on the original crossmember, unlike the ECE member that is a little shorter.

I've never compared the two, this is just a guess.

Bump for either the right answer or more information.
