Another issue yes or No

On my 67 the amber running lights in my grill don't stay on when I have my headlights on. They stay on when I have just the running lights on and they blink fine both ways headlights on and off.

Re: Another issue yes or No

Mine are the same way and I have all new wiring so I guess they don't work with the headlights. Mine also do not flash with the alarm so they are not on the same wiring as the tail lights or side markers

Re: Another issue yes or No

That was the way they were designed to operate. They are Park/Turn lights, which meant if the headlights were on, you were driving and did not need "parking " lights.

I don't think the term running lights was even used until the 90s.

Re: Another issue yes or No

nightmare now your making me think (and it hurts). You maybe right. There was a year they changed over and I thought it was much later than our years, but maybe you are correct sir. I know the 67 down the road does not have them come on and mine has been apart a while that I can't remember for sure.

haysonj.....you may want to check and see if there are dual element bulbs in them. If someone but a single element bulb in it may react the way you are describing.

Edit 463 got it...it was 68 the changeover year

Re: Another issue yes or No

this is a easy fix, just move one wire on the light switch. relocate wire # 927 (brn) to the dashed line
