Question How to plug factory tach.

I have a factory style Tachometre in my cluster and I know how I must make the connections to make it functional, I think one of the two poles at the rear of tachometre must be plugged into the coil Ignition. Thank you

one says coil, you hook a wire to it, and then to the neg post of the coil if you have points, or to the TACH terminal on HEI.
Then the other post on the tach gets hooked to a switched power, like IGN UNFUSED on the fuse box.
