Re: 72 GMC to chevy front end

You will need the complete front clip from a Chevy. the headlights on a GMC radiator support do not line up with a Chevy grille. The hood latch will also need to be Chevy, as the GMC is offset to miss the center bar. My opinion, DON"T DO IT!!! but then, I have a 72 GMC Super Custom 3/4 ton 4x4 and a 72 Chevy Cheyenne 1/2 ton 2wd SWB fleetside 383/ 700r4. My dad has a 71 GMC 1/2 ton Custom SWB step 250 6 cyl 3 on the tree, and my brother has a 72 Cheyenne LWB fleetside BB402/ TH400 and we have kept all of the sheetmetal on all of them factory appearing.

The inner fenders and hood hinges is all you can reuse.
Well, the hood can be too, but it says GMC so it'd look kinda retarded.
Nothing else swaps over.

Re: 72 GMC to chevy front end

it's a truck I'm piecing together to sell, and the GMC grille is nowhere to be found. I just wanna have a complete front end on the truck before I try to sell.
Here's what it looks like before I put fenders, hood and grille on it. I don't have a after pic yet.

If you have a complete 70 GMC front clip, it will drop on.
