Heater wiring problem
Well I just pulled out my 77 K-20 to get it ready for winter and decided to fix the PO's "fix" for the blower hi-med-lo switch. He just had a wire run from the post on the blower motor to the bat. to a toggle in the cab so it only had high. Well I pulled the dash apart and its a mess. Burnt connectors, wire cut all over. I dont know where half this stuff goes and what its supposed to look like. Does anyone have a wiring diagram for that or know where I can just get a new harness for that circuit. Also the fuel gauge is burried past full. What cause's that and is there a diagram for that. Thanks for the help

Re: Heater wiring problem
check the ground by the tank for the fuel sending unit for the gauge problem...I'm sure someone can come up with a schematic for a certain part of the truck, but just asking for wiring schematics inside the dash is alittle vague...

Re: Heater wiring problem
sorry that I am not all that good with wiring but I fixed the switch so that now it works but I only have high. I traced the wires and there are 4 going to the resistor. There is power to that and power to different posts at different positions on the switch. That leads me to believe that my problem now is the resistor. What do you guys think. Thanks for the help.
