Sat pics (10-18) Canton cruise, Noble show and a low mileage pickup.
Hey guys! We had a busy day around here today! We went up to Noble for a lil car show that was going on and then we we shot on down to Canton for their last cruise of the year. I met board member sdailey and we shot the breeze for a few minutes. Anyway, Here's what I got for ya this week!
I've been seeing this truck parked under the same shed for the last 17-18 years. It was a one owner truck with all the original paperwork. This cowboy recently bought it and apparently is trying to flip it for some quick cash. It's a 70K actual mile truck with a 350. It appeared to be super solid and straight but I didn't break out the magnet. He was asking 4K for it. I thought I had a pic of the engine but apparently I didn't shoot one....This thing still had the smog pump hooked up on it. I'll be happy to pass his phone # on to anyone who might be interested in it. (Disclaimer...I don't know the owner or have anything to do with this truck.) Shot this on the way to Canton. This one was priced at $8500. Cool. Serious. One for Brian and Jill! Yeah! |

A craptastic shot of a pretty cool swb 4x4. I wish I could have gotten some better shots of this one. It was awesome in so many ways! Yeah right.....still cool though. Another one for Brian and Jill. Another well executed shop truck. You know I dig the 59's. |

A big block four speed bubble top for Killer.

I've never done acid, but if I had is that what it would look like?

Asa greqt shots!
It's been almost 40 years since someone spiked a drink at a party with acid but IIRC you would be hearing the lights and seeing the music. So yeah something like that.

Re: Sat pics (10-18) Canton cruise, Noble show and a low mileage pickup.
Thanks guys!
I forgot to post the 54 progress for the week. Motor mounts came in this past week and we got em mocked up. The giant nuts for fillers were my idea. Had to fiddle with the floor a smidge to get the trans to clear. |

Re: Sat pics (10-18) Canton cruise, Noble show and a low mileage pickup.
Tacking in the tubes for the mount bolts.
Engine comes out again to clean up our mess. Found this joker while hunting around the scrap pile for parts to build a transmission crossmember from. Hopefully this is the last time that we'll bolt the engine in. We've got the bottom of the engine oil pan and trans pan higher than the bottom of the frame. Should be worry free when she airs it out! |

Re: Sat pics (10-18) Canton cruise, Noble show and a low mileage pickup.
as always, your pics are awesome. That green 69 stepside is EXACTLY what I'd like to get my son. The funds aren't there though.
And that slammed caddy DEFINES cool. |

Re: Sat pics (10-18) Canton cruise, Noble show and a low mileage pickup.
Andy, You want his number? Maybe you can persuade him to sell it cheaper. That pickup isn't near the deal that we found in the swb fleetside last week but it should make someone a nice truck....Even if it gets cut up to make a short bed!

Hey See Ten, I ran into sdailey at homedepot and he said you were at the show. It was late (7:50) but, I tried to find you. I was looking for your truck, but from the pix it looks like you weren't in it. I originally planned on being there, but the family wanted me to go to the fall festival at school. Maybe I can find you next time.
