Wtb frame mount for track/panhard bar
I need a panhard bar or track rod mount that is on the left hand side of frame. The one that is on my truck is shot and needs replaced. Let me know if you have one and how much you want. My zip is 17022. Thanks, Jon

Re: Wtb frame mount for track/panhard bar
I am in the process of parting down a '71 LWB Frame, is the item something that can be unbolted from the frame?
Unfortunately I am 12 miles from the Frame, or I would look myself. |

No, they are rivetted on to the frame. If you would take it of thatwould be great but I understand if it is to much of a headache. Thanks, Jon

Re: Wtb frame mount for track/panhard bar
Rivets are nothing a grinder can't handle, its just a matter of keeping it undamaged and all.
I intend to take the rear out as it is, so it wouldn't be a problem to grab it, its more of a time frame thing. I should be out at the truck in a day or two taking more parts off of it, I should be able to grab it then. Shipping wouldn't be an issue, really as it will fit in a USPS Flat Rate box. I've just never been good at the whole coming up with a price thing. |

Yes sir, that is it! I will take it! How does $35 and I will pay for shipping sound? The extra will cover for your time. Let me know if that is OK and if it is, I'll send paypal ASAP. I really appreciate it! Thanks, Jon

Sounds good. I have a PayPal account, though I am not 100% sure how to use it, as I have only ever used it to purchase.

Do you still have the front crossmember stuff? I need the two brackets that hold the crossmember to the frame. I can send pics if you need them. Let me know, Thanks again! Jon

Re: Wtb frame mount for track/panhard bar
Sure Do, That piece is the first part I have taken off of the frame itself. I should be able to grab those as well, though I have yet to pull the engine out. send me a photo of the bracket you are talking about, and I'll see what I can do.

Re: Wtb frame mount for track/panhard bar
Here they are? I need the 90 deg bracket that holds the lower front crossmember to the frame. The one that the upper a-arm mounts to.

Re: Wtb frame mount for track/panhard bar
Shouldn't be a problem to pull those off (no Rivets!). What is the timeframe you need them in? (never seen them rusted through before.).
Another sad thought is that I scrapped a front clip a few years ago that i didn't bother to pull those off of... |

Re: Wtb frame mount for track/panhard bar
yeah we can always use those here in the northeast! the salt and dirt loves to sit up there and go to town! I am not in a super big rush. I need the rear piece more than the front but have a lot of other stuff to work on. are you talking like 1-3 weeks on time? also for price does $100 shipped sound good? I would not think that they would be more than $10 to ship? I was thinking I would have that much in time, gas and electricity welding? let me know. thanks again for all your help you are saving me a big headache! I had to make the rear spring section, brackets cause they had roughted out also. I am trying to keep the frame close to original as I can.

Re: Wtb frame mount for track/panhard bar
Sounds good, I should be able to get them out this week, the biggest issue is the truck being out in the toolies at my Uncle's house. Looking at it all I should be able to fit everything inside of a USPS Flat Rate mailing box, so shipping should be less than 10 for everything if I send it all at once.
Things should go smoothly if I drag the compressor and air tools out with me next time. |
