The facts dont lie. Absolutely the best looking truck EVER produced in my opinion. I finally stumbled upon a 72 Cheyenne Super shortbed and plan on having it until I cant drive anymore.

I still love pulling up next to someone who has a new Chevrolet pickup and they stop to do a double take of yours...

You guys can have the new ones...

Re: For the new members-67-72 Chevy Trucks are ICONS

Just got my latest issue of Custom Classic Trucks magazine and there is a feature on the F-100 Supernationals. They showed a picture of some Brand X trucks and commented on the '67-72 models just starting to gain popularity. Geeze, imagine that we were just now finding out that the '67-72 GMC's and Chevies were starting to get popular.

Makes me think that the Twin I-Beams are why they were so late in getting to the party.

Just for funsies, there's a couple of our trucks in there, too.

I also think that we can agree it doesn't really matter how cherry your truck it either. I get all kinds of guys telling me they love the original, super faded paint at car shows. Course.....this thing hammers out the flowmaster 40's and the pete jackson gear drive get the heads scratching.

You are right on. If you look at the internet relationships that exist on this board...it is between those with fixer-uppers, daily drivers, show trucks, and the ones that fall in between. Think of this...how many clubs would have done "Project Underhaulin"? All trucks regardless of their presentation are ICON's! We even include burbs! (That was on behalf of the Longhorn Man)

I mentioned my truck was a "classic" to a friend and some random guy listening in tried to tell me it "wasn't a classic"

told him to shut the f up on the spot

I had read that artical some time back and had forgoten about it, glad to see it again. Yes GM got it right with this model. But do you guys really think these trucks are as popular as the Tri Fives? Or should this be saved for an other thread?
