2" spindles?
Does anyone make them for a 73-87? I've got Belltech 3" spindles on now - the truck is still on the lift and hasn't been driven - they've got to go. The amount of grinding to make them work with the wheels I'm using, it just isn't going to happen.
I know I can get 2" drop springs, but I'd prefer spindles if I can get them. Google hasn't turned anything up yet. Different wheels are not an option, I have new wheels that have been powdercoated and already have new BFG's mounted. Does anyone make them? Thanks. |

Re: 2" spindles?
Thanks. I'm looking at their website and they're not listed, they only list springs for a 2" front drop. Where did you see them?

Re: 2" spindles?
Man,... I use Belltech on all my 73-87 trucks I have done. What is the problem? Trim both sides of the lower control arm around the ball joint and you are done.

Re: 2" spindles?
15x10" Rally's with 4.5" of back-spacing = all up into a bunch of ****. The lower control arms have been clearanced. Now the bottom of the ball joint is touching the rim. This is with 1/8" spacers. That's my limit. Three inches is out, I'd like to go with 2" spindles but it seems like 2.5" spindles is all I can find...

Re: 2" spindles?
Yep,... the backspacing is the problem combined with 15 inch wheels. You need bigger rims or less backspacing. Lose the spindles and install some 3" drop springs. Good luck.

Re: 2" spindles?
From looking on line today and calling around, 2" spindles weren't made for 73-87's. It's all 2.5" or 3". So I'm going to clean up the stock spindles and paint them and put them back on with 2" lowering springs. It's got nearly 1.5" of rake, this will put it almost level.
Thanks. |
