Sup people. Looks like my trade deal will be going through on Saturday. (fingers crossed).

I've been turning wrenches on 18 wheelers for 10 years now and have been building metric choppers for about 3 years but have been out of the hot rod scene for about 11 years.

Can yall post up some link to places for good parts on a 67 stepside. Im looking to order some catalogs.
Where's a good place to find aftermarket dash parts.
Where are all yall buying your fuel tanks to mount under the bed.

I was told by the owner of the 67 thst it has a 2 barrel carb which I want to put a 4 barrel on. Should I go with a regular old holley carb with another intake. I had an edelbrock performer on both my camaros and was happy with it but the victor jr is inticing me.

Thanks for your help, this forum seems pretty cool. Here are a couple bikes Ive built. The first is a 2001 yamaha v-star 650, the second is a 1990 Suzuki intruder 750 and the last one is one Im building now, it's a 1999 yamaha roadstar 1600

lmctruck.com is REALLY good for referncing/finding parts, but a lot of people on here dislike their pricing and sometimes quality. I order things I dont care much about there (headlight wiring, mirrors, etc)

www.gmcpauls.com is where I got my fuel tank kit. Most people on here recommend using the board vendors as much as possible, and he is one of them.

For suspension, everyone said Early classic enterprises (http://www.earlyclassic.com/) and I went there and do NOT regret it one bit.

Basically, pick what you are working on, search on here, find vendors that sell the parts, and review other people's installs and reviews and form an opinion.

I have been able to buy quite a few mechanical things from my local auto parts stores.

I use LMC a lot to determine how things are put together and what parts are interchangeable.

I've dealt with Wes @ Classic Heartbeat and Brother's with no complaints, whatsoever.
I've also had dealings with LMC. I have no complaints about quality, or service, but they seemed to be a bit pricey. On the other hand, they had what I needed, when I need it. A man's gotta do what a man's gotta do.

Here's a dynamite thread that explains the whole process. Theoretically it's a pretty straight forward endeavor....but like most things it's the SLD's (Sh!tty Little Details) that'll get you all befuddled if you try to rush things.
