Cool How similar are the 67-72 frames and the 73-80's frames ?

I am wondering how similar the frames between the 67-72 chevy trucks and the 73-80's frames are ? I was considering putting a 67-72 cab and bed on a 73-80's frame ? Any info would be helpfull. THANKS !!!

I've got a friend who has done a couple of swaps and they aee a pain. They did it with 67/72 body work on the mid/late 70's 4X4 chassis to make a four by out of the early body style. I don't think a two wheel drive would be any easier.

you'd have to alter the wheel base on a LWB truck, not sure on the SWB... and a custom made body lift. The 67 - 72s are flat, the 73 - 87 frames are anything BUT flat.

73-87's have a longer wheelbase than 67-72's for both SWB and LWB. I think both are 2" longer.

it'd probably be easier to swap the air stuff to your 67 - 72
