1960 1/2 cab bushings

Hi all, I am about ready to set my cab on the frame and need some input on exactly what I should do. From my understanding they no longer make the correct bushings for the 60 trucks. I have read here on the forums where people have used some 50's truck body bushings and others state just to use the repop 64-66.. I will go with rubber and want to know what the best way to go is and has anyone found any major quality difference between the companies that make them.. Possibly a pic of what you did and how it turned out? My main concern is the height and how everything will line up apon assembly. Thanks

I'm using urethane bushings on my rebuild - 63. As long as you use the same bushing for the cab and the radiator support they should line up just fine.

I can't help with your specific question, but if you want to compare what you need versus the mounts for the '63-'66 let me know. I've got several here you can look at and I'm not too far from you.

Re: 1960 1/2 cab bushings

I used the 64-66 cab bushings on my 60. Had to trim a little off the sides of the bushing because the cab mounts aren't as wide. I faintly remember having to use 2 of the original bolts also but I don't remember if it was front or back.
