Re: Bed question

Passenger side looks correct, drivers side is too close though. Loosen up the bed & see if it can be moved back on that side.

Re: Bed question

Pictures are taken from two different angles. Could be the same, could be different.

Measure from the back of the cab to the front of the bed on both sides and adjust it until you think it looks the best.

Re: Bed question

your truck has been smacked pretty hard a couple times. There may be more seriouse things goin on underneath. (frame damage, damaged pushings, torn mounts)

Oh yeah, forgot about that. Travis, did you ever fix the front clip (fenders/grill/etc?) and have the frame looked at after the last hit, wasn't it a garbage truck or something?

Re: Bed question

That's what I was adjusting when my truck started doing all those weird things with the brake lights, tail lights and signal lights. I wound up grounding everything I could see...

The way I adjusted mine was to loosen all the bed bolts like corn mentioned, and gave it a couple of good pulls toward the back. Then I placed a jig I made of a 1X4 board between the bed and cab and pushed the bed forward until it was even on both sides.

Re: Bed question

Well tommorrow Im goin to Ronalds Body shop and to learn to weld and do some odds n ends and fix a little bit here and there since he knew my dad real good. Maybe I can sweet talk em to see his 69 or 70 chevy c10. Also theres a guy there that his 69 when he turned 16 and he is in his early 40s. Maybe he can help me out a little bit since they know about these trucks and possibly see the frame and bed.

Re: Bed question

Was it your driver side that was hit? It`s prolly pushed back on the mounts.I`d leave it until you take care of the whole thing.

I hit the pole last year and then the mack hit me a few months back. The pole didnt do it cause the gaps were the exact same size. It had to be the mack that done it.
