Yeah, butI dont really want to do airbags. Im trying to keep it as cheap as possible. Im also building a 400+ ci SBC thats going into my 87 mustang , so I wanna try and keep the truck as cheap as possible

Don't rule out bags based on price alone. You can do a combination of static & air drops using spindles/springs up front & bags in the rear only. Set them up w/some schrader valves & it's pretty cheap (<$100 difference vs. drop coils).

The draw-back is it's also pretty basic so there's no playing around or dumping the air for the 'on the rails' look. Check out posts 12~14 here for ride height & costs on a budget 'combo' set-up . ..... http://www.67-72chevytrucks.com/vboa...highlight=bags .
