Does anyone make a decent Tonneau for these trucks? I have had an Extang before but I dont see these listed? (prefer a soft cover but obviously NO drilling....)

On another note, I had a customer drive up from Ohio to pick up his new nitrous motors (changing classes) and he brought a friend with one the nicest Longhorns I have ever seen. (truthfully one of the only I've seen...remember I'm new to these) . I glanced in the interior and the odo showed 59K.... before I could ask he reached into the G-box and showed me his original bill of sale and sticker.... the only thing not stock were the shocks , and tires. Wow... but those two small blocks made her squat a little ...

He spent ALL the time alone looking over my 67 resto while the customer and I went over engine details.... he made on offer on the 67' but knew i had no intention....

Sweet, did you get any pics? What part of Ohio is he in? Did you plug the board to him? (and if not...why not?

As far as I know, there are no off the shelf covers for the Longhorns. One member here bought an 8 foot one and made a 6 inch section for the front extention.

If your long horn has a 8' bed the they looking for a tonneau
for a F150 (made the the f people) 86-96.. the old body style.
not sure about the years though......

I am looking for a tonneau for my 67' std. bed.

They are from the Cincinnati area. And we didnt get into the internet because to be quite honest i dont think he even has a computer. (the friend that is). Sorry no photos but what an odd color .... light green

You know...that truck kinda sounds like Pierce's truck...was it a GMC by chance? Heck, was it this one?

Sorry not that truck but the color was close. It was a Chevrolet not a GMC and the interesting thing was it has factory running lights ( he said he ordered them that way), now that i think of it could it have been a 3/4 ton? (I was very busy with the customer so i actually didnt notice.)

So how about the tonneau's for the std bed trucks?

Scott, Nice when someone gives you a compiment by making an offer on your truck. When the guy is driving an original and wants to buy another one...that speaks volumes about the work. Say...how about some pictures! Even if it is a work in progress it fun to see how it is progressing. It will be years before most of us will have our trucks done anyway.

Well when he saw the amount of work done and the original engine sitting complete ,wrapped, and put in storage he knew that this wasn't an inexpensive job (are they ever) and when he asked if I was over 5 digits into the parts and labor so far (not including the price of the truck originally) I just rolled my eyes.... That got him to thinking about what his longhorn was worth.

I may have some photos soon but they will probably be finished photos as i havent had time to even take many......

I can send you a couple since I cant seem to figure out the posting thing.

Still looking for an upper rad hose (metal portion)

im shocked that 2 small blacks even was noticable in the back of a longhorn. i had one small block and 700 pounds of sandbags in mine and all it did was smooth the ride a little.

I got a tonneau cover for a '68 bed I converted to a trailer. I got it from Summit, for the life of me I can not remember the name but it works great. I has C-Clamp kind of things that hold it to the bed. No drilling needed. I will get the name tonight when I get home, I looked on the summit web page right now and found the name of the one that I got. It was a TEK-STYLE. I have posted there web site address below. Scott, You should have made him an offer first before he had a chance to think about it...LOL! I always take a picture when the truck is at its worst and at its best.
