I was gona to flat black my truck and paint the steel wheels red. I did one in red but now i have changed my mind on truck color. the truck is going to be Burnt Orange. So my question is, What style of Black should i pain them? Flat Black
Satin Black
Glossy Black

Any pics you guys have would be great!
I will be also running some 3" Wide White Walls!

ARGH! how do I edit the spelling mistake in the poll?

Re: Help with my steel wheel color

FYI, the factory color for the factory steel wheels was the body color. It may look slick with the wide whites!

Burnt Orange, wide whitewalls, and a white longhorn in the center cap.

Re: Help with my steel wheel color

I'd go with a satin or full gloss. The first time you grab it with greasy hands will lead to one of the the above mentioned anyway!

Re: Help with my steel wheel color

I'd go gloss, from experience.

I think Navy Blue would look awesome with a deep orange.
Like the current Vette orange.

Re: Help with my steel wheel color

If the body is flat I'd go glossy, if the body is glossy I'd go flat.

Of course thats just my current opinion. Ask me again later when I actually get closer to doing mine.

Re: Help with my steel wheel color

I vote cream. Cream wheels look great on an orange truck. Either that or I would paint them the same color as the truck. This thread is probably just gonna leave you even more confused about what to do though...

Re: Help with my steel wheel color

I had read all these other posts and forgotten your original question. I say gloss black. Sorry, I didn't answer your question right the first time.

Re: Help with my steel wheel color

You should paint the steelies the same color as the truck, and run babby moons or another classic look cap......
