Drop in bedliner

Hey There,
Does anyone know what kind of late model truck has a bed of the same general dimensions as 69 fleetside 8ft. bed? I am thinking about a drop-in liner for my truck. Thanks.

Re: Drop in bedliner

I don't think you're going to find a direct fit. But here's a bump for you.

On mine, I was thinking of a spray on bedliner but decided against it. I didn't like the way some of them fade and also if I ever want to sell (never say never) some may not like spray in liners. So I'll probably go with a thick rubber matt and cut it to fit around the wheel wells.

Thanks,
You just gave me an idea. I'll try the mat out of my 92. See how it fits and go from there.

Re: Drop in bedliner

I have a drop in liner in my short bed from a 73 & up. Fits good but not perfect
If I ever get $500 ahead of the game (yea right) I'll do a spray in

Thumbs down Re: Drop in bedliner

I had a mat in the back end of my truck. I hated it. Everytime I washed the truck it held water underneath, never drying out. It caused the corrosion process to greatly accelerate on the bed floor.

Re: Drop in bedliner

If I had money it would be a spray in bed liner. No moisture build up= NO! Rust. You also dont have to be too gentle with it and treat it like a truck.

Re: Drop in bedliner

Okay,
I just got a liner that was in a 1981 GMC. It dropped right in. The fit at the front corners is'nt the best but for 10 bucks, hey

Re: Drop in bedliner

Drmiller,

as a youngster I used to work in a place that installed these. That is an under the lip bedliner and the sides should tuck up under the bed rail. In the front I believe that there should be an area that would allow the front of the liner to cross over into the bed...sides tuck under and the front just rides agains the header panel....Hope the helps... We also used grease or undercoating on the beds to help prevent rust..... I have a mat in mine But I also have a tarp on the bed so I don't get water in it..... Cool and vry nice score on the liner..... they were $289 new... Why is it that I remember that crap.....LOL

Re: Drop in bedliner

A couple of cans of Great Stuff Expanding Foam ought to fill those corners right up

Re: Drop in bedliner

I like that under the lip liner. It seems to fit your truck pretty good. Now you need to score the liner part for your tailgate!
Is there one that will fit a short fleet like in my avaitar????
