I'm replacing my intake manifold gasket on my 283, What do you reccomend and why?

I have cooper on mine for the last 6 years and no leaks

I would say about any mid to top quality store brand would be ok. Take the little end seals that come with the gasket and discard them. Use a RTV to make the end seals with a bead along the front and back oaf the block. Jim

I suggest following the torque sequence until every bolt is tight. My experience with this is that the center bolts tighten up slower then the outer bolts. I've had good experience with all gaskets, including the rtv method on the ends. After 3 run cycles I retorque/check torque.
