Question Help Needed for Suburban project!

OK I have made up my mind. I am going with a 10" spring only lift. I will worry about wheels and tires later. I was going to rebuild my 85 GMC and while looking for a parts truck ran across a good deal on this 90 GMC. So this will now be my project truck. I also bought a pair of 3/4 Ton axles with 4:10 ratio. Here is my first question:

I want to swap out the 1/2 Ton axles and drop in the 3/4 Ton axles. Should I order the lift kit for a 1/2 ton or 3/4 ton?

Has any one done this?

This is the second time I have taken on a large progect like this. This time I plan on taking pictures of every step. Plans for the truck so far include the 10" lift, a bumper, winch and brush guard, a roof rack, light kit, 10 meter radio and beefing up the 350. Any suggestions are welcomed and would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks,
