What's A Good Friend, Worth???
Not trying to get all mushy or anything, I just want to send out a public thanks to my truck buddy Smonty. He did me a favor on Wednesday, I bought a 67 short bed box with the wood floor from James, real good friend of Bo who frequents the board.Smonty on his day off drove a couple of hours to go pick it and store it at his house til I get down that way to pick it up. He lives south of Dallas, tx. and I live in Tulsa, ok. and he did because he's a good friend. I can't remember how many times he has put me up for the night in his home. Thanks again.. Mike

I have met Smonty and he seems like a really great guy. I bought a seat and sway bar from him. It was wierd to find out he lives like 1 road past my father in laws place.

The really great thing about a good friend is that you can't put a value on them. They are there no matter what.

Have you ever wondered why they are so hard to find? I have been thinking about this lately. seems that all but one of my very dear friends were first made as a kid.
What does that say for us as adults? I really dont understand, might have something to do with we are all in our own little worlds. to find someone that fits in it (because most are unwilling to change or accept something different) is very hard. i mean most people are nice folks, and will do about anything for their friends and family so its in them! Why isnt it extended to others? the fear and reality of getting screwed I guess, its just a shame.... could it be that kids are

Most of my best friends were met in college. I think it has something to do with priorities and time. As a kid/college student you have more time to do things where you build bonds with people. WHile you can build friendships over the internet, you need personal involvement and shared experiences to make it stick.
As you get older, everybody is just sa darn busy and focused on trying to stay one step ahead of the man!
