67 c20, what do you guys think?

im looking at buying another pickup so i can park the 68 k10 to do some bigger repairs on the cab, and i heard a about a pickup out at a friends house from my little brother, at first he told me he thought it was a 69 -70, i inquired with my friend about the truck he said yeah he has it, and it runs but he didnt know much else about it, i lent him my digi cam to get some pictures of the truck for me, these are the pictures of the truck
theres not a picture and my friend didnt know, but acording to the aircleaner sticker i think the truck is a 250 i6, i specificaly asked for a picture of the spid label, but the truck doesnt have one
its a 67 c20

the lower cab is pretty rusty but thats minnesota for ya

the front of the truck looks pretty straight, but the bed is kinda banged up

Re: 67 c20, what do you guys think?

the tailgate looks pretty deacent

the interior looks pretty good, and acording to my friend its the nicest part of the whole truck, he sid the roof isnt rusty which is a plus

so what do you guys think, it would just be a winter beater and it would donate some parts towards the k10
there not sure what to ask for it, im thinking of offering a few hundred after i see it in person next week
what do you guys think i should offer for it?
thanks
nate

How much are they asking for it?

and how much does it need to get it to daily driver status?

Sounds right to me, but then we don't see rust out here much,so it looks pretty bad from here.

the truck just needs to be plated, tabed and insured
there not sure what to ask for the truck, they mentioned that they had about 200 into the truck i was thinking i would start by offering 250 to start with, being as it belongs to a friends family

I like the barbed wire scratches all over gives it character. looks a little neglected though seen better trucks in the junk yard. I'd say a hundred dollars tops

Not too bad of a looking truck too tell if its a 250 look at the side covers on the engine and take down ehe engine head numbers and read them too a engine shop they will tell you what inline six is in the truck i would jump and get the 67 chevy truck i only paid $200 for my 67 chevy 3/4 ton 4 speed long wheel base truck but it was missing some stuffel like the bed bench seat engine it had a tranny i do have a aircleaner for 250 chevy engine

Re: 67 c20, what do you guys think?

Offer them 200 and go from there.
As far as the 'too much rust' comments...this is a winter beater/work truck... rust is what defines a beater or a work truck.
And as far as the junk yard comment... again, desert southwest.... esp so-cal... guys are spoiled.

Re: 67 c20, what do you guys think?

I like it.Go for it!I agree to offer what they have into it.But,$250 is being nice and not much money for it.
The idea is,if you have a rusted truck you can drive it w/o worrying about it rusting.I want one like that.I miss driving these trucks in the winter.

Re: 67 c20, what do you guys think?

I would go up to $500 if its a running truck with good brakes. If you by a beater...you want to be able to drive it. Good Luck.

Re: 67 c20, what do you guys think?

'Round hea in New England that would be at least a 750.00 truck if it runs and drives.... by the time they are 30 or 40 years old the rust has made them pretty much gone away.

Re: 67 c20, what do you guys think?

I don't know 'bout Minnersoter but where I'm from (Tx and OK) daily driver/beater brakes is a lot better than "around the farm" brakes. But for $200-250 you could get your money out of it for scrap.
If it is a running driving street brakes beater then it's well worth that.
