Seat Swaps
I have a 76 Sub with bench seat in rough shape. When I use the truck (it's my race car tow mule), it is usually for a fair distance and want to increase the creature comfort. I'd like to look for some bucket seats. What model years will be direct swaps? Do the anchors already exist in the floor pans or will I have to install or drill for the buckets? Even if someone has experience with an easy swap that wasn't necessarily compatible I'd like to hear about it. Thanks in advance.

I installed a set out of a Lincoln Continental into my 82 CrewCab. I also got the back seat out of the car. Both front seats are electric. I just drilled into the floor of the cab and bolted them in. I did have to modify one side of the rail. I know I had to cut and weld to get them in. I'm going to install them into another cab, but I'm going to modify that cab for more reinforcement for the mounts. Click on this link to see pics of them. When you get to my site, click on the "What has happened so far" link. The seat pics are at the bottom of the page.
