A piece of plastic that old? You will likely break the plastic tabs holding it in. I got a couple of speed nut clips and sheet metal screws to reattach mine. You might be able to get a pair of long nose pliers behind and squeeze the tab where it will pop out but better plan on screws and clips.

Re: Interior dome light removal

I just squeezed the center on the lense and pulled a bit and it popped out. And just used a screwdriver to pop the tabs on the back piece.

Re: Interior dome light removal

If you have a cargo light, pull it off then reach inside and squeeze the tabs together and they pop right out.

If you don't have a cargo light, be gentle. Very gentle!!

Re: Interior dome light removal

Thanks!... I am not to worried about breaking it, i just wanted to know how to remove it. I thought i might "sell" my old original one, but again not too worried about. If i understand right then there are 2 plastic clips that i "squeeze" to unclip it... Right?
Thanks again!!

Re: Interior dome light removal

It is just a clip sort of like this (the yellow part is the light, I know, I suck at drawing pics). You just sqeeze the end together to get it to release. The one in my pickup releases on its own every once in a while, so I need to spread them a bit to get them to hold better (I just keep forgetting until if falls again while I am driving).
