new old axles

i think i got a set of 8 lug axles for my 72 but not sure what rear is (think may be ho52)how can i tell and if it is were can i find disk brakes and other up grades and will it bolt in or what is need and were can i find info on this axle and what are its limites


what are the limits of a d44?

what size tire will a d44 hold up too
and were can i get parts for this axle

36's are kinda the suggested limit for a 44,but it kinda depends on your drivin style.If your easy on it you might get away with 38-39's.

Google Dana 44 gears,there's a ton of people makin stuff for em.Before you dump a bunch of money on alloy axles,CTM joints,ect check into gettin a 60.Alot of people blow a wod of cash on a 44 and still go with a 60.
