Re: Freightliner 1, Chevy 0
Be happy it was a parking lot and not "at speed!"

Re: Freightliner 1, Chevy 0
Yea, should be fixable. If not, I will be really upset since LWB's are not reproduced and this one was fairly clean.
I think I am going to call them and try for a cash deal before I call their insurance. I might try to get my gas tank/stake pocket filler work done with said cash while also fixing the bed. No paint at this time, wait til the whole thing is ready. |

Re: Freightliner 1, Chevy 0
that sucks. It looks like a lucky brush with a big rig. I hope they will pay you without too much trouble.

Re: Freightliner 1, Chevy 0
He was probably focused on hitting that U of T Longhorn you have on your tailgate!!! At least there wasn't too much damage, sorry for the jokes.

Re: Freightliner 1, Chevy 0
try your best to get him to settle without the insurance company getting involved. i got rearend early this year in my '69 swb, just messed up the pass bedside, and mess the chrome up on my bumper, and all the lenses. when through the local chevy body and the gal tat hit me's insurance. long story short, total damage estimate was around $1600, insurance company valued my truck at around $2000 so since that was over half the value, i know have a salvage title for my truck since it was totalled. only good was i ook the $1600, when to the local re-po parts dealer, got a new bedside, new bumper, and lense for around $600, and used the other $1000 to finish my new motor. chris.
