How many quarts?

I know this may sound really noobish, but I'm doing the first oil change on this truck since I bought it. These trucks take the standard 5 quarts, right? Nothing special or surprises?

Re: How many quarts?

if you have a small block v8, it's 5 quarts with filter change. I'm not sure about sixes and big blocks.

The Haynes manual for 1967-1987 Chevy and GMC trucks lists it as:

230ci 5 quarts
250ci 5 quarts
292ci 6 quarts
V6 5 quarts
small block V8 5 quarts
big block V8 6 quarts
