Sub's - 3rd seat with no factory mounts
anyone ever do this?.....I have the seat but the truck has no factory mounts on the floor......I was thinking about welding some 3/8 nuts to the floor, cutting the factory mounts off the seat, welding small pieces of flat 1/4" plate on the bottom of the seat, drilling holes in the plate and bolting the seat down in 4 places....put the nuts in the bottom of the channels in the floor to not interfere with sliding things on the floor too much......whattaya think.

Re: Sub's - 3rd seat with no factory mounts
If I were to put a 3rd row seat into mine, I'd locate a donor in a wrecking yard and cut out the pices from it's floor to use in mine so it looks all original. Less mods that way.

but the other thing you will run into is that, like mine, the truck bed portion of it is flat without the dip for leg room

Re: Sub's - 3rd seat with no factory mounts
i ran 2 2" angle iron bars across the seat where the bolts are located and welded tabs on end bolted through the fender wells
made easier to mount further back then stock bolted outer seat belt mounts on angle as well worked very well for me
