Pontiac Motor in a C10
Does anyone here have any experience with putting a pontiac motor into a C10? Perhaps some 70-72 big block chassis mounts/towers can be made to work with the pointiac motor mounts?
I have a newly rebuilt 400 in my firebird, but the car is non operational for various reasons. And my 350 in my C10 sounds like it has a rod knocking. So I thought I may as well run the 400 in there while I overhaul the 350.

Re: Pontiac Motor in a C10
You mean like this?...
I fabricated my block to frame mounts from a steel plate that bolts to the crossmember and 1.5-inch tubing from the mount to the frame. I used an Indian Adventures block mount adapter and 1-inch tubing for the polyurethane bushings and a 3/8 tube for the through bolts.

Re: Pontiac Motor in a C10
vin63, I think I get what you mean. Do you have any bigger/closer pictures of your mount setup? I see that you are in chino hills. Maybe I could come by some time and take a look? I'm in Long Beach but my truck lives in Corona, so its on the way more or less.
