The owner of the car lot there is a crook acording to my dad who was a cop in that town from 79 - 87. Took guns and knives from the lot owner and his partner/brother many times over the years, and answered many calls about them.
Like I implied... the town sucks.
We actually have a member there, but I can't remember his screen name

OK, I was wrong. This truck is a Chevrolet CCKW (not sure what it stands for) It is GM's 2 1/2 ton military truck for WWII. I did some searching because the hood was throwing me off. Here is an original version.

I love seeing pictures of you enjoying the burb. If I would have kept it, it would still be in the barn probably covered in bird doo.

Nice pics and nice commentary to go with.

Cool trip Andy. How far are you from Xenia? I use to live there. I love Ohio. Like previously stated, your son will NEVER forget this trip.I enjoy taking my 2 boys out for joy rides..even though they are only 2 1/2 and 10mo old!....Quality Time.

Re: picture thread... burbin around some more

Sounds like another awesome burb' rific trip. Awesome to see your not letting the cooler weather slow you down. Just curious about what mpg are you getting? The only reason I ask is because my suburban is just like yours (except mine still has the 3/4 ton suspesion whereas yours is converted to1/2 ton).

I wish my old man had taken the time to do something like that. Your son will definitely remember this and will become a better man because of it...thanks for sharing.

Re: picture thread... burbin around some more

Like I told you on the phone, Andy (and if I recall correctly, YOU called ME )he will never forget it, even if he didn't show interest at the time. I would have loved to have had more years with my dad than I did, because he loved doing things like this....

Re: picture thread... burbin around some more

lets see....
Mark, I'm glad you enjoy seeing these... It's not often that I do something to a vehicle that someone else owned and actually do something with it. Usually it's the person I sell too that does this.

Asa... thanks man... I'm trying to fine tune my photo taking abilities... I need to learn more about my camera.

Tim... I'm glad too. He and I are both coming of age to where we don't butt heads all the time. it's been rough, esp since the divorce. But he and I are starting toapreciate our time together (both his fault, and mine)

manimal... I'm about 60 miles from there. Never been there though... not yet. Enjoy the time with them when they are little... I swear mine was that age just a few years ago. He was a cute little kid, and all of a sudden he's a little dude.

Camio, I don't check for MPG very often, and since my speedo is off by about 10% right now, it gives me even more excuse to not check it. When it was a 3/4 ton with the 3.54 gears, i got 10 - 16 MPG, usually closer to 10 in an honest city/freeway daily drive type setting. (I have a heavy foot too) I'm not scared of the cold weather... it's the salt and brine on the roads that scare me.

69hotrod... I hope you are right. God knows I try.

Byrd sells complete inst panels with new bezals and sand blasted cases with the white face conversons...
i love them. I've been doing it since before they were selling the overlays, except, i was just painting the faces white.
