posi help
looking for a posi for my truck. 85 gmc 8.5 10 bolt 28 spline axles. did our trucks come with a posi or what other vehicles had the 8.5 with 28 splines? thanks for the help

Check out an Auburn or Eaton limited slip, they are a much better / stronger unit than the factory Gov-Loc style.

Yes 4wd is the same, but has 6 lug axles. The 8.5 is a 10 bolt. Older trucks will have 12 bolt rear axles either 5 lug or 6 lug. You need to make sure you are getting the correct match to what you have.
