6.2 liter diesal's with the turbo... what kind of boost did they push..

just a curiosity question any one know off hand what kind of boostthey had?

Maybe 10 max, not much. They didnt come with a turbo stock ever that i know of. It was an option on certain trucks

Dad had a 90 GMC that had a 6.2 with a dealer installed banks turbo......IMO, it didn't do much for the performance. stelth2002 is right, 10 lbs would be max.....I was thinking more like 5-8. They really didn't move alot of air, and I've never seen one that had a manifold pressure guage. Dad's had a Pyrometer though.
