capt, anyone else with US BODY parts?

Has anyone used fiberglass parts from US body source? Chris, I know you have the entire tilt front end, does it look like good quality? Would you buy from them again?
Reason Im asking is because I cant find any good OEM front fenders for my 79. My 78 has perfect fenders. Since the 78 needs a diet anyways, I was thinking Ill just buy some fiberglass units, put them on, and swap the metal ones onto my 79.

Yes, the quality is excellent and yes I will buy from them again.
You could probably order some steel parts cheaper though.

Tom, I just posted a thread in the "parts" section a couple weeks ago...A guy had both left and right fenders on e-bay...the bidding only went to like $50 for each fender...the reserve was not met but even at $100 or whatever it would still be a good deal. I don't know why you are having so much trouble...you live in a basically dry state and I bet most vehicles are rust free...I live in MN and seem to have no trouble finding rust free sheetmetal...maybe you need to look harder or quit being so picky or maybe you just need to cough up more cash to get what you want. I am not ragging you, I just can believe it is THAT hard to find what you are looking for.

Ive found lots of $500+ a set OEM fenders, but that rediculous [sp?]
ALL the trucks around here are smashed in. Ive looked at 5 yards and 60+ trucks, NONE with good fenders. I found one truck, but it had the holes for trim drilled in it.
I watched that auction, and just talked to the guy today actually His reserve was set at $100 a piece. I would be all over that, except several people have already emailed him about them.

Did you check out Grumpy's?
I don't want to have to say it again!

I don't see the stuff on their web site, but I could swear that I have seen them in their store before.

www.GrumpysTruckParts.com

Yes guys some of their prices are high, but they are local so us Phoenix, AZ guys could save on the shipping.

Tom, check to see if those $75 fenders are CAPA certified or not. if they are, you should have 0 problems with fit and finish, as they're guaranteed to be exact replacements.

I have the CAPA certified fenders. They fit great except at the top corner by the windshield, where they are too tight. Overall they are a pretty good deal usually.

My buddy that is a body man charges about $5 min for a hand size dent, so it should be around that much.

Check in my area Casa Grande,Maricopa, and surrounding areas.i bought 2 rust free fenders that basically needed,a light scuff and paint to be perfect.those trucks are plentiful i paid $100 for a pair.ive parted many truck, and have left the fenders before because they are hard to sell down here, people want me to ship, but i dont ship large partsI have a short fleet box here that i cant even sell off a 73 SWB 454 truck i bought for the motor.id stay away from the pick a parts and that row of yards in Phoenix they get picked over, but try some of the smaller towns. If you find them with trim holes and they are nice,id still buy them and buzz them up.

I also used those Taiwan made front fenders, they just fit in nice. As far as I can see they are a good quality, my painter didn't complain about them either. He was more complaining about the original panels since he had to strip them completely before he could do his magic. So If you cannot find good second hand ones use the Taiwan made. As for as the holes for the trim, they are just plain simple to spot weld them. I've done it on the rear fenders without any complications and I'm no professional in this. So if you can find someone with some welding experience he should be able to fill within 10 minutes.
