It says that the 69 and 70 are identical except for the paint scheme on the inner grille. Why not just get one and paint it the right scheme? The last of the NOS production inner grilles for the 71-72 trucks were black and sold as "paint to match" the correct silver color. http://www.pattson.com/maych/67_72_chevy.htm

I don't know if this helps, but here is a pic of a nearly mint grill I took off a 70. I still have it somewhere. I know I shrinked wrapped it and put it up in the barn. If I remember correctly, the black spots on the grill where indented a little from the silver. It has been awhile, so I could be wrong.
