Re: whos runnin an optima?

I think they are all about the same. You will always get a lemon every once in a while if you are one of the unlucky ones. The best battery I ever had was a AC Delco that came in a 72 Nova. I have had good Interstate batteries and good Sears batteries.

Re: whos runnin an optima?

i personaly havent had an optima but i sold a s10 to a freind 2 years ago and it had always had battery and charge issues and we could never figure it out, a week after he bought it he put a red top in it and it has worked like a champ ever since
i have had a few interstate batteries and they never gave me any problems till they sat for a little while, most reacent one that i had die was in my dads 71 i bought it for him cause his old battery dried up the interstate worked just fine for 3 months then we parked the truck for the winter and come spring the battery wouldnt accept or hold charge and it hadnt dried up
i think the best battery that i have ever had is a motocraft that came out of a sara lee delivery truck, the battery has never dried up ive never had to charge it and ive never had any starting or draining issues with it
