Angry 2wd conversion help ?

Need help please???
I bought a 1976 2wd Blazer. I think it was a 4x4. Looks like the 2wd cross member will bolt up? Which is what they did. Still has the large holes in the frame at the rear of the front leaf spring mount. The front rad. support mount has the flat bottom and 4 holes for the leaf spring mount.
According to LMC catalog the VIN should be 1CCXXXXXXXX for a 2wd and 1CK for a 4x4. Mine is 1CK.
Anyone done this before?

Re: 2wd conversion help ?

There is a thread on this site somewhere. Someone in the southern states had a 4wd blazer and a 2wd pickup sitting side by side on wha doing the swap. If I find it I will post where I found it.

Re: 2wd conversion help ?

I did look at an original 2wd this weekend. It did have the 1CC VIN. The rear of the front sping hanger holes are not in an original 2wd frame either. I looked it over somemore, and everything seems like it bolted up properly. I should take it to the alignment shop and have them make sure it is square.

Again, you must be a subscribing member to sell
