Wow! The "powers-that-be" got it right!
Many of you know (by my 4x4 action pix sticky thread) that we 4x4 enthusiasts here in Spokane, Wa. are very blessed with a great, free off-road park. Recently the parks dept. announced that they were going to close it Dec 1st thru April due to budget cuts.
Well several 4x4 clubs and many related business's got together and we organized a "rally" to show how much this place means to us. Surprisingly the person in-charge scheduled a meeting with our spokesman the other day AND CHANGED HER MIND!!!!! They will keep the park open on weekends thru the winter!! Now our "rally" will be a "thank you" rally rather than a protest. So anyone in the Spokane area who loves 4x4's, ATV's & dirt bikes please show up on Sunday Nov. 23rd at noon. Our goal is over 50 trucks, Jeeps, Buggys & Crawlers. Any bikes & ATV's would be a bonus. I'll post pix of this event on the "4x4 action pix" sticky after it goes down.

As more land is being locked up and areas declared off-limits, it's great to hear some good news for a change!! Sounds like you have a very good spokesman and a sympathetic ear in the parks dept.
Do your local clubs have 'clean-up' days to pack out trash left by slobs who should know better? Events like that can go a long way towards keeping areas open.
