Fuel door relocation idea
I saw this on the website that had this truck that was being sold at the Barrett Jackson auction a couple weeks back and thought it was a great idea for those of us that might be raising up our beds on lowered trucks.

WOnder how you keep from spilling gas on the paint though?
maybe he doesn't drive it and never put gas in there... new idea though..

I agree with you on that one! You would have to be really careful not to scratch the tailgate with the pump too. Here is the pic of the truck from the side and an inside shot. It ended up selling for $50,000

Beautiful truck...but that filler is not practical for daily driving, looks like a pain in the rump to get a nozzle in there w/out tearing up the paint.

IIRC That truck was built in Rockwall, TX by S.O.S.. It was named JALAPENO, we saw it at the DAllas AutoRama. I am sure SCOTI or someone will know more about this truck.

This is the truck that was sold at the Vegas Barrett Jackson Auction. They went to a commercial and didnt show it being sold. I guess they didnt want to show an old chevy truck on the block but I looked it up and it ended up bringing $50,000

If you look at the location of the bed bottom, height of the tailgate and the width of the tailpan you can tell that the bed floor was raised. Otherwise an gas filler like that wouldn't work in these trucks unless it was awfull small and mounted under the frame rails. I also agree with most, it wouldn't be very practical to drive. WES

Indeed a nice truck...I took some pics of it at the 07' Good Guys show here in Texas. We were trying to figure out where the filler was in that thing.
I like the power rear window too....very nice truck all around!

Be-a-utiful custom truck.It`s prolly on it`s first tank.As long as a Stabil bottle neck fits...
 The dash is out of that truck.As in alot of things,one-off.

It was Good-Guys Street truck of the year in 07. Tough act to follow. I snapped a few in Columbus last year, very well done truck. The guy that owned it looked more like he wanted to drive than show it... Mick |
