Mirrors
Good Morning!
Can someone tell me what the design of the original mirrors on a 61 3/4 ton were? I have some mirrors that came with the truck that I'm not sure if they're original or not. I am wanting to know for sure before I install them. I'm thinking they were the one arm round mirrors. Thanks for the help, Joe |

Re: Mirrors
Joe, the standard 60-66 outside mirror was the round head mirror with one arm attaching to the door with 3 screws. The plain trucks only had one on the driver's side, while the nicer trucks had them on both doors. I think there was also an optional rectangle head mirror for the same arm. Some trucks also had the optional West Coast style mirrors.

Re: Mirrors
the earlier trucks also had a cast one piece bracket, and the later ,63 and up,I am not sure about 62, had the stampedsteel 2 piece bracket that is like the reproduction that you can get now.

These are the factory *West Coast style mirrors* 60-66 Nut mentioned. There was the round head mirror, the rectangle mirror and I believe there is a slightly larger rectangle mirror that fits on the same arm which I do not know if it is factory or merely a common aftermarket part. -W |

Re: Mirrors
Just curious everyone, did the 3/4 ton trucks have the same mirrors as the 1/2 ton trucks or did they have them big ole mirrors?

Re: Mirrors
Woogeroo,
That is what the PO had given me when I bought my truck. They were laying in the back of the truck. I started looking into installing them, but I don't think they're the right ones because the bracket arms are not any longer than the window. I'm thinking maybe he gave me the wrong year or maybe I just can't figure it out. Thanks everyone for the help---again. Joe |

Re: Mirrors
Mine is confused because it has a little of both for some odd reason.

Re: Mirrors
Mine had the west coast juniors, but were shown as an option on the sheet affixed to the glove box.
