qwyktruk short video and a few pics

Hi Guys(and gals) ,

I finally got the truck running and mostly dialed in. The video link is for youtube.

I couldn't figure out how to post it here!

Here are a few more pics on the trailer for the ride home.

I have spent the last two weeks getting is cleaned up and ready for the Good Guys Show this weekend.I should have some pics of her cleaned up later.

Stop by and say hi if you make it out there!!

That truck is so bad, I love it. I'd like to see a burnout when you get it tuned !

Your truck is just so bad a$$ John. Listening to it and seeing it gets my adrenaline flowing, my heart pumping, and gives me chills all at the same time.

I'll keep dreaming of my '63 being even half that nice......someday

Have a couple on me

Those lights are out of a '88 Cad Sedan De Ville and they are turned upside down.

It runs on 118 octane !

Every now and again this site shows us some 'special' trucks and this one is up there with the best of them. Well done John. Excellent.

This may be a silly question, but how do you get in the truck with the door handles being shaved off?

Remote door poppers most likely. They pop the door open a few inches when you press the remote.

Re: qwyktruk short video and a few pics

you need to bring it to the Peoria Sports Complex on 1/24/09 for the Westside Get Together. Only $10 and that includes a pancake breakfast. IM me if you want me to send you a flier. You can look under the EVENTS forum too.

First off, I want to say thanks again for all the compliments!! You are all great !! I'm planning to do a real video soon! I'm sure you will like it better.

Hi Jonathan,

64Magoo is close. I used to have door poppers in there but they became a pain in the assnik so I took 'em out! Now I have a remote control operated security system that when certain buttons are pushed, the windows lower. I decided that is much easier to just reach in and grab the door handle than to hope that the poppers worked. They also are just another electrical problem waiting to happen.
I already have 2 cooling fans on the main radiator, 2 fans on the trans. cooler, elec. water pump and another elec. motor to pump fluid through the secondary radiator for the intercooler, power windows, power seats, stereo/amps/subwoofer and an elec. fuel pump. Then if driven at night , throw the headlights in the mix. That 160 amp MSD alternator is working at full tilt almost all the time..

The Good Guys show was great! It was nice to meet a few more of you there. Protrash and his wife came by and we chatted for quite awhile. Great people!! Of course my buddy Dino and his troop came by and made my day!!
I hope not to jinx things, but I was approached by a photographer there about a magazine shoot.. I guess I'll just wait and see what comes of it.

Oh yeah, I got yelled at for doin' a little burnout while leaving!! I told 'em it is a car show, not a Girl Scout Convention. So, when they got done scolding me, I did another one as I left!!! I wasn't invited to come back on Sunday.............

John
