Horn...Check engine light?

This is going to sound crazy but....a while back I had a problem with the check engine light coming on from time to time and staying on until I reset it...nothing noticed although I didn't get the code read because the light went off and stayed off. Last week I blow the horn and it doesn't work! I tried to straight wire it to make sure it wasn't the horn after checking the fuse which was good...I also checked to see if I was getting power to the horn....while doing this the horn proved to be okay and after putting the plug back on it worked fine. I had the code read and have misplaced the paper I wrote the # on....something like 403 or 402...anyway today the horn stopped working again and then the check engine light came on again....any clues as to what's going on? This seems too strange to be happening at the same time for no reason???

Re: Horn...Check engine light?

what year is the truck??? on some semis this was a problem also...the horn goes bad and the check engine light comes on....cant remember what the deal was exactly but it was something about a circut that grounds through the horn...i'd try a new horn...they are pretty inexpencive
