PS fluid overfill

So I put in too much power steering fluid. I poured in (what I thought was) a little, with the motor cold, and when I checked it the fluid was at the hot/full mark. What's the worst that could happen? I'm thinking it might overflow out from under the cap when it gets hot...and that's it, right?

Re: PS fluid overfill

the fluid expands as it gets hotter, and if you have too much it will overflow from the cap.

i use a "turkey baster" type suction device to suck out the extra fluid...

Thanks Tommie...the turkey baster worked perfect, and since it's a week till Thanksgiving, I had no problem finding one at the grocery store
