Re: questions about my 68 k-20 and lifting it
Well, since I'm in the same situation with a '68 K20, I'll chime in. You can buy a lift for a '68 from Rancho. It took me a lot of googling, but I found one. Here's the link.
http://www.4wheelonline.com/Products...roductId=91879 I found out that when looking for lifts for these trucks they hide them in the 2500 silverado link and then you can select the correct year. |

Re: questions about my 68 k-20 and lifting it
I wouldn't be afraid of mixing springs personnally. Heck many people do just front springs and blocks in the rear - that is mixing springs. Yes, you won't have the same spring rate, but just not a big concern to me. My 70 rides pretty darn well with mixed front and rear springs. My 69 K20 is a bit rougher but that is probably because they fronts are 6" HD Tuff Country springs and the rear are the stock springs with some added leaves.

Re: questions about my 68 k-20 and lifting it
hey, thought i would help you out alittle....
'that lift is nothing special... the front springs on our trucks compared to the 69-72 are the same.. it's the rear that is the problem and not compatible.. it uses blocks in the rear.... i would place a large wager that tuff country springs are better than the rancho's... way better riding and should flex way more.... tuff country makes good springs... if your gonna go blocks in the rear (i have thought about it), then i would get a 69-72 block kit from tuff country and just get the ubolts for the rear from rancho.... tell me about your truck... do you have ps or pb, long box??? motor, tranny, etc... |
