Upgrade control arms?
Front suspension is torn down on my 66 waiting for bags to come. I have dropped spindles and disc brakes on it now. The truck has been converted to 73-87 brake parts, running later ball joints as well. Will there be a big improvement to switch to later arms be able to run poly bushings? Should I just clean up what I have and stick with the metal to metal 1966 design?

I would say the coil spring 60's trucks are the first trucks to have a car like ride. If you have ever rode in a 50's or earlier truck you will notice the 63-66 ride a lot better. I don't think you need to bother with newer control arms just to run poly bushings. If handling is of concern run bigger anti sway bars.

I know in the Jeep suspensions that Rubber rides nicer than Poly, but Poly lasts well way longer. Is there a big difference in the switch from rubber to Poly with these suspensions?

I always used poly on my Novas. Big difference from rubber on them.
