Re: Heater hose fitting replacement
It snapped off about flush so i knocked off what i could and tried a tool i got from the parts store "specifically designed" for removal of this fitting made by lisle. That was the worst 10 bux i spent all week. The tool just spin inside the fitting even after beating it in with a large hammer. I tried the twisted style easy out and even with a 12" crescent wrench couldnt get it to turn. I ended up cutting three slots in the threaded part of the fitting with a hack saw blade and knocking them out with a chisel and vacumming it out the best i could. I still need to chase the threads with a 1/2" pipe tap and put the fitting in. Has not been a fun project so far. I will post an update later.
