Post couple questions

what are the most common sources of an oil leak? I've got a 77 Blazer and I need to replace the hood. What year of truck/blazer can I take a hood from to replace my current one?

The hood will interchange from 73-79. Make sure to buy a brace kit so it doesn't kink though. Oil leaks will be common from the valve cover gaskets. Also front and rear main seals. What area is it leaking from?

the leak appears to be coming from the rear of the engine and somewhat on the side. I'll be replacing the valve cover gaskets this week to see if that helps any.

thanks for the hood info.

73-80 hoods will work , the 79&80 only had that little raised area across the front and all the aftermarket ones have it also. watch the latches though as the inside release type were totally differnt latches. DAVE

make sure your oil pressure sending unit isn't leaking.
