What to do when it feels like 20 below?

Go RACING! This is where you warm blooded southern types miss out on a good ol' demolition derby race on ice.

So you think the southern boys are missing out on winter demolition sports----you might want to visit the interstate in Dallas when they have their first winter freeze---they do you one better as they host their demolition derby on their interstates with much newer vehicles!!!

hehe! Great shots but what lake you are on and where to I get an entry form????

I have an old Celebrity that I think would do very well in that race! Not quite as good a shape as the Escort though... No exhaust either so it might wake up the fish under there.

This is the only other pic I have of Bob's truck. He was out there having fun while the other cars were having a temporary break-down. He did help pull a few cars back into the race track when they went flying over the 3 foot snow bank.

dat- no entry blanks, just a bunch of neighbors getting together for a little Sunday afternoon fun. I will be looking for a winter beater or 2 for next year. As it is now, they figure there will be 3 more weeks of racing before they start to think of turning it into a muddin' hole .

And I forgot all the fun in watching Texas ice driving. We just don't get to see enough TV coverage of that one.

Theres plenty of news coverage today. I have lived in Dallas all my life and these people really freak out over a little ice. Not much practice I guess.
